Also, factor in that vertical websites are considered to be simpler to implement and more efficient. Therefore, it's only fitting that most websites prefer to go for it and not a horizontal one. However, as with most tech, many elements make a comeback, stay strong for a few years and then disappear into the abyss only to reappear after a few years.
